Ten years ago this is how the grove appeared

To provide windbreaks for the small trees we let the grass and weeds grow up between the rows. In South Florida the grass will get as high as some of the trees. Left unchecked this can become a problem as the grass growing up under trees will eventually obscure them and slow the growth rate.
